About us

We research hardware accelerators based on Field-Programmable Gate arrays (FPGAs) to realize high speed computing systems for broad range of applications that outperform microprocessor based systems with respect to speed, power, and memory efficiency.

Join Us

We welcome joining our lab from other universities/colleges as graduate students.

List of schools our lab students were previously affiliated

  • National Institute of Technology Nagano College, Tokyo Denki University, University of Miyazaki, and others (Japan)
  • Beijing Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and others (China)

For non-Japanese applicants (especially for those who intend to get full-time jobs in Japan in the future)

Japanese skills (rather than English) are mandatory for getting stable jobs in Japan. Japanese companies hardly hire people who can not speak Japanese, even though they are in staff shortage, putting aside whether it is reasonable.

In the field of computer science, most of what you can study in Japan would be able to be studied in any other countries. We strongly recommend considering very carefully why you still want to study in Japan.
